People of Mariupol for defenders: support that keeps the front line and hearts going
Every day, Mariupol residents come together to ensure that the aid sent to the front line is as timely, relevant and heartwarming as possible.
Our activists are constantly looking for new opportunities: they weave camouflage nets, make trench candles, and as the temperature drops, they add warm knitted items – socks, scarves, buffs and insulated mats.
"We started sewing special insulated mats. It's a simple but critically important solution. They can be used in cars, dugouts or during guard duty to keep the soldiers warmer," says Valentina, a volunteer from Kyiv.

Volunteers regularly deliver the collected items and treats to our units. One example is the aid received by the Mariupol military brigade.
The soldiers expressed their gratitude with warm words:
"We thank you so much from the 107th Mariupol Battalion! We really need your support – it shows there is hope! Thank you for the gifts!"
Support continues in the network of "I'Mariupol" centres. As part of the "Veterans" project, all centres employ veteran assistants – specialists who accompany, advise and provide comprehensive assistance to the military and their families.

And at the "I'Mariupol. Care" household centres, defenders can receive free household services: dental treatment, haircuts, laundry services, minor repairs, sewing and other necessary support.
Mariupol residents are also uniting outside the centres, joining campaigns in support of prisoners of war, in particular the initiative "Don't be silent! Captivity kills!", reminding everyone that every defender must return home.
