Gifts for Mariupol children from the Maltese Aid Service
Together with our partners, we give bright emotions and gifts to Mariupol children on Christmas and New Year holidays. For the second year in a row, the Maltese Aid Service has been actively involved in creating fairy tales for children at the I'Mariupol centre in Lviv.
Like last year, in early November, Mariupol children wrote letters to Saint Nicholas. Volunteers from the Maltese Aid Service helped them with this. Undoubtedly, one of the biggest dreams of the children was to return to their native Ukrainian Mariupol. The children asked the Wonderworker for health for their relatives and our defenders, and for victory and peace in Ukraine. There were also many other personal wishes.
The children's letters reached their recipients. “Saint Nicholas' helpers”, employees of the Maltese Aid Service, visited the I'Mariupol centre with gifts. The children recited poems for the guests, sang together and took photos together. The children received toys, craft kits, clothes, lots of sweets and even a scooter and a skateboard.
The children also became assistants to Saint Nicholas with the help of psychologists from the Maltese Aid Service. They painted Christmas decorations and enjoyed each other's support. On this day, the center was full of unsurpassed children's holiday emotions.
"I am so happy. The presents are great. I also really enjoyed painting the toys. I chose bright colours," says Alisa.
We thank our friends for taking care of the children of Mariupol. May your kindness be repaid a hundredfold. Together we give children a sense of celebration!
